fashion week

I waited for fashion week eagerly and was amply rewarded with great visual inspiration.

The fashion world experienced much change lately - talents shuffling around, injection of new blood, revival... For me the biggest news is the return of Jil Sander, "queen of clean". Her theme "reset to zero" is definitely appropriate. There is no pretense, no superfluous details, just good old clean. I can see myself feeling powerful any ensemble. There is definitely sexy - confident sexy - in every look.

Continuing with their tradition of great tailoring, The Row came out with some fantastic pieces perfect for the withering heat of summer.

Furry feet aside Celine is still one of my favorites. There is definitely some stylistic change, but the essence of a Celine woman - modern and easy - prevails.

There were definitely some double visions. I was delighted to see Calvin Klein and Margiela's interpretations of the sweetheart neckline.

I always enjoy the look of random/whimsy. Creatures of the Wind, Meadham Kirchoff, and Threeasfour did not disappoint.

Dolce & Gabana continues their Tuscany vacation saga. Those burlap-y and wicker pieces bring a smile to my face. I am almost girly enough to want to wear them.

Even the heavyweight intellect of fashion - Prada - feels poetic.

Typically dark and mystic, Rick Owens' pieces are poetic and serene.
